Some recent work. Quite often I like looking through my old folders of all the stuff I was drawing many yonks ago, especially when I’m short of ideas. I’ve been attempting to complete this one on and off for many years, but was never satisfied. But now I am so that’s cool.

Eyvind Earle (1916-2000) painted more than 800 Christmas card designs during the 1940s. In the following decade he was hired by Disney, and his stylized background illustrations appeared in such animated films as Sleeping Beauty. More of his paintings can be seen here.
